Three-Dimensional Beauty – lzf’s Spiro Lamp
We were extremely pleased to see that a light fixture from a line we represent here at Casa Design featured on Contemporist recently. The Spiro suspension lamp, designed by Remedios Simon for lzf, is a cool, three-dimensional handmade lamp that was named in part for its structural design.
The Spiro was constructed using a new process to mold the Polywood veneer into decorative spirals, inspired by ornamental lattice, which creates gorgeous modules through which light flows. According to lzf, the variation of color between the interior and exterior of the Spiro lamp, as well as the combinable diameters, “can be matched to create countless possibilities which will enhance the designs created by and for architects and designers.”
Below are a few more photos of this neat lamp.
