Stools are very versatile pieces of furniture, which make them a very useful tool for designers. In addition to serving the need for seating in a home or office, a stool can stand in as a side table or a step ladder, among other items, and that’s exactly what design blog 3rings was searching for in one of its recent top ten lists – “Well-designed wooden stools” that are multi-functional pieces.

Included on the list was the Woody stool designed by Lievore Altherr Molina for Andreu World. It’s made of solid oak, which makes it very strong and durable. Best of all, it matches the Woody chair, which we’ve discussed previously, as well as the Woody armchair. Plus, the stool comes in two versions (with or without backrests) in two different heights.
