Lately, spaces designed for children have been on our minds and catching our eyes, especially since one of our own had a baby earlier this spring!
These adorable and whimsical houses we recently came across on Apartment Therapy were quite eye-catching to us. Obviously, the days of “playing house” have changed quite a bit since our childhoods, and there are now playhouses almost as stylish as real homes for children to enjoy. What hasn’t changed, though, is the ability for one to use their imagination and role play – these little houses just foster an even more creative environment for children to do so in.
We love this sleek black playhouse, complete with a mailbox. So creative.
Can you believe this playhouse was once a greenhouse in a horrible state of disrepair? What a fun way to repurpose something you already have.
This playhouse dates to the early 1900s.
Here is a playhouse that has all the amenities a grownup would want for their own home – a deck, dormer windows, a loft play space, and a garage (for the kid’s toy cars, of course).
